U.S.Navy School of Music, Washington, D.C.; Rutgers University College, Newark,NJ, B.S. in Management; New Brunswick Theological Seminary, New Brunswick,NJ, M.Div.
Miltary – U.S.Navy Musician(saxophone and clarinet), in bands on aircraft carriers USS Forrestal and Saratoga, Atlantic Fleet Amphibious Base at Little Creek,VA. 1957-60. Current member of Navy Musicians Association
Civilian Employment – I worked as a warehouse packer, Export Traffic Clerk (Honolulu Iron Works Co.), Export Traffic Coordinator (Babcock & wilcox Co.), Director of Public Relations (United Methodist Homes of New Jersey), Horizon Communications (my own public relations business), and 21 years as pastor of United Methodist churches in New Jersey. I served as the Northeast Region Representative for Walk to Emmaus. Now retired.
Other interests – Partner in the Ray of Hope Ministries, music (especially jazz), model trains, history, family geneology. Writing my spiritual autobiography and possibly other books
Patty Perez
Born July 26 in Chicago,IL.
Family – 2 Fabulous and Amazing children and 1 dog
Schools – High School in Chicago. Did not start college until 30 years later. Currently attending Holy Family University Accelerated Learning toward a business degree.
Military – U.S.Air Force spouse 23 years, stationed in San Bernardino,CA, Biloxi, MS, Rantoul,IL, Panama, and lastly New Jersey.
Employment – I was a homemaker for many years until my daughter went to 1st grade. Since then I have worked various positions, learning as I went, at the same company; from receptionist, customer service, estimator, project manager, IT support, Master Scheduler, Account Manager, Strategic Project Manger and now for a whole year a Business Analyst. I recently changed employers to do what I love best – work with people helping them find solutions to their business challenges.
Other interests – I have had various forms of training from Dale Carnegie, Black Belt (Lean SixSigma), Certified Lay Speaker and Natural Church Development. Served on the Walk to Emmaus Board of Directors. Served in my church as a member of The Ministries Planning Team, Church Council, and Nurturing Committee, and as Vacation Bible School Director, 40 Days of Purpose Project Leader, Companions of Christ Bible Study Leader, and currently co-lead the Early Worship Service. Continuing partner in the Ray of Hope Ministries. I love dance music and traveling. I have been to Kenya six times as a supporting partner with the Kibera Mighty Lions – a slum soccer initiative overseen by my daughter.
Patty, I think this is wonderful with what you and Ray have accomplished this is a great source for anyone who wants to learn about the Bible, hope you are well, I found a wonderful Church “Lord Of Life” in Tabernacle, could not be happier, I have been there for almost 2 years, well take care,
